Jim’s practical expertise and leadership have helped hundreds of companies worldwide achieve global supply chain excellence. Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1969, his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1970 and his Ph.D. in 1972, all from Purdue University. He is the author of more than 500 published articles and has written or contributed to 26 books, including Bold Leadership for Organizational Acceleration, Logistics and Manufacturing Outsourcing: Harness Your Core Competencies, The Supply Chain Handbook and No Boundaries. He co-authored Facilities Planning, the world’s standard for planning and designing of industrial facilities, and is co-editor of The Warehouse Management Handbook. He has also given more than 3,000 presentations to audiences all over the the world. He also hosts the Global Supply Chain Podcast series and writes the GoGoGo! blog on supply chains, change, and leadership.
